Garden Trip & Pics

One of my favorite places in Utah is Red Butte Gardens. I can't get enough of it. I am always so excited to take a trip there and enjoy the beautiful flowers and smells. It is a little get away for me, and the kids always have fun running around and exploring.

Family Prayer

The boys before Wednesday night church

Last night was prayer meeting at our church.
We all went and Zack was able to come, too.
It was the best time because Josh had us pray together as a family.

He had each of us go around and first pray a prayer of thanksgiving to God.
Then, we each went around and prayed for one person that God put on our heart.
We actually did this two times in a row. So many people we wanted to lift up in prayer.
Next, we each prayed for a married couple.
Then, we each prayed for someone or a family in financial need.
Then, we each prayed for an overall specific need in our church.
Lastly, we each prayed for what we desired to see God do in our own lives.

After that Josh read a chapter out of the Bible and we went around and shared what God showed us. It was so cool talking about the Bible together and digging deeper into His Word.

The entire time of prayer was so sweet and special.
I just savored every spoken word each child prayed to God.
It humbles me. It makes me in awe of God and the faith of children.
God is so good to take the time to listen to each one of HIS children's prayers.
Thank you, Lord!

May Days

For the first part of May, Josh took me to Santa Monica for a few days and then to San Diego where he did a revival. We went by ourselves and Dianne so willingly came to Utah to watch the kids for us. They were excited to spend time with Grandma. Josh and I had a wonderful time visiting family and friends, going out to eat, talking walks, sleeping in (a rarity), family dinners, and we even got see Tim Hawkins with almost the entire Scribner family (we really missed you Adam & Bekah)! It was so fun to be able to laugh (and cry from laughing so hard) together.

My mom took our family to dinner at Geoffrey's in Malibu...amazing!
(my sister is THE prettiest prego woman ever!)

(what a good looking couple!)

When Josh and I got home, Allie and I took Grandma Dianne to
Thanksgiving Point to see the gardens.

(we saw this TINY little bunny in the gardens...Allie was in love with it!)

We also had fun watching Marcus play baseball...four games in 3 days!

Then, Grandma took us out for ice cream

We spent Mother's Day all together which was special and wonderful...the kids came into our room in the morning and piled on top of me telling me they love me! I sure felt loved! A special breakfast and day followed with a steak lunch, presents, multiple cards from the kids and a trip to the park between services. It was a very happy Mother's Day!
