Josh and I both celebrated our birthdays this month!
I started a new thing...writing a scripture and placing it on our kitchen table to help us hide God's Word in our hearts.

I took the kids to a trampoline place one afternoon and was so happy and surprised to find this hanging up...
We had friends from Santa Monica come and visit us for a weekend. We had a weekend outreach with our friend, Erik who does magic illusions and shares the gospel message along with it. It was a great time. Marcus was so happy he brought his son (Marcus' friend) with him. Marcus and Levi loved the trampoline place!
Something very special...I finished recording my 1,000 gifts journal I started a long time ago. I'm so glad I did it. It has changed my life. I need to go buy a new journal so I can write down another 1,000 gifts that God has blessed me with.
Allie started piano lessons. Her teacher gave her a bag to decorate and she covered it in "I Love God" with a picture of her and Jesus on the front.
Allie and I have been taking our dogs on walks around our block in the afternoon/evenings.
Sometimes it can get a little crazy for Allie holding two leashes and the dogs just want to run all around. She's gotten wrapped up in the leashes more than once ;)
On Wednesday, September 24, 2014 was National "See You At the Pole" Day...where students across the country gather around the flagpole at their school to pray for their country, city and school. Twenty years ago on this day, Josh took the Lighthouse High School students over to Santa Monica High and met with the kids from the school's Christian club to pray. While he was there he saw a girl and told his best friend, "See that girl over there? That's the kind of girl I'm going to marry one day." Little did he know that day he would someday ask that girl to marry him and she would say yes.
other things this month:
Marcus gave the main part of his lunch to a kid at school who didn't have one.
Allie complimented her friend & told her that she was good at losing teeth (Allie's only lost two so far).
Rob was the star student in his class and got to share his special poster about himself to the class.
Marcus really wanted to give an older lady a ride home because she was walking with maybe 6-8 grocery bags by herself...so we did...and then we talked about living out our Christianity.
I've been enjoying working & volunteering at the kids' schools a lot.
Allie was student of the month in her class.
Rob created a "fantasy insect" with a purpose for his class Science project this month. His bug can write music for people to listen to.
