Rob's Birdhouse

Rob made a birdhouse for his last Science project of the school year.
This turned out pretty cool! If I were a bird I'd want to live there!

Weekend Wrap Up

Looking back at the week:

Marcus had a Career Fair at school. Josh and I were able to go and it was so cool! In their life skills class they have been creating a career profile where they pick a career and research everything it takes to have that job and what that person does in their job. Marcus picked a college football trainer. He had to prepare a poster board and speech about his career. All the kids in seventh grade had to dress professionally (with collared, button down shirts, ties and slacks). He did a really great job telling us about his job when we stopped by and asked! I'm so thankful he is thinking ahead now, and that the school works so hard to get the students to plan for their future. Whether he's a college football trainer or not, I'm happy he's thinking about what he would enjoy doing in life.

I'm so excited because I've been working out more. I need it. I feel so much better (and eat better) when I do. Besides being the best husband, Josh is the best trainer.

Marcus and Rob have been so happy to hangout with their friends from out of town.

Allie was able to make up her run-a-thon and she did terrific! She ran 9 laps! She ran two more laps than she did last year. However, she was a little disappointed in herself that she didn't run the most laps in her class. Wow, my kids are really competitive. If kids are like their parents, what does that say about Josh and I?!

We did a full house cleaning and everyone can't stop saying how happy they are that we cleaned the house and how good it feels. My kids rock when it comes to cleaning the house. They work so hard and don't complain. They get the job done.

Allie & I went out for Jamba Juice and a little shopping. I love mother/daughter time. It's so fun. She got some new pajamas and a few summer shirts.

I've started a new thing...I write everyday. I love it. It's been so good for me.

Allie loves our dogs and I caught her on the swing in the backyard with Mac. So cute!

Rob was blessed. He was invited to go to a Salt Lake Bees baseball game with friends from church. He had so much fun and loved the fireworks at the end.

I took Allie to some new tennis courts and helped her practice her tennis. I look forward to many more of these practice times.

Weekend WrapUp

Looking back at the week:

I was able to go to a tennis clinic. I love going to them. They are so fun and such a great work out.

On Tuesday, I was a chaperone for Allie's class field trip to the zoo.

I am super excited to be playing competitive tennis! It's funny-for once I'm the only one in the family on an organized sports team at the moment! I had my second match this week and the kids went with me to cheer me on as I played doubles. They are the best!

Rob won third place in his whole school for the Run-A-Thon! He ran 13 laps! I think he set out to beat everyone in the school and he almost did it!

Aliyah turned 2! Josh and the boys were able to go to her birthday party. Allie and I were so sad we had to miss it. Allie got sick that day & so we stayed home.

Marcus and Josh were able to go to the gym and play basketball together. They got into a game with some adults and Josh said Marcus played so well! After school he's been going to the gym to practice and it's paid off!

Allie has been sick with a fever for the last 3 days and she has had to stay home from school. She was so bummed she was going to miss the class craft on Friday, so we got out her sewing machine and started sewing a new little blanket. Thankfully she's feeling better.

This afternoon Marcus, Rob and I went on a walk which turned into a run in the rain! Things like this are what memories are made of.

I Love Being A Mother

I got an early Mother's Day present from Allie. She decorated this beautiful flower pot just for me.

On Mother's Day morning I came down to this amazing banner that Allie made (with Josh's help). It is so cool and blessed me so much. It's still hanging up!!

Flowers from my love

I was so blessed on Mother's Day with cards and gifts, a delicious breakfast Josh made for me,  a really great Mother's Day word that Josh preached at church, homemade bbq hamburgers for lunch (my favorite),  and a surprise visit from Markell, Brandie and Aliyah.

I feel so incredibly blessed and undeserving to be a mother.
