Allie's Birthday Party

For Allie's eighth birthday we had a fun craft party with her friends. Allie loves to do any sorts of arts and crafts, so I went to my favorite wood store and found the cutest cupcake craft for her and her friends to make.
My friend, Melissa, came over and helped the girls make them and they turned out so cute!

The boys hanging out...excited for the cake and ice cream!

While their crafts were drying, all the kids went outside and Zack played a game with them.

Then, everyone came inside and Allie opened her presents.
It was so neat to see how the girls knew Allie so well and knew exactly what she would like.
That blessed me.
Allie has wonderful friends.

The beautiful birthday girl!

Allie Baby Turned 8!

Allie turned eight this year! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is such a beautiful little girl inside and out. I love her spunk, her laughter, her smile, her enthusiasm, her passion for justice and righteousness, her love for her family, our animals and others. She is a blessing from God. I am so thankful that God blessed us with such a wonderful daughter as Allie.

This year Daddy said she could get her ears pierced. It was going to be when she was 16, but I was able to negotiate with him to age 8 (when I got my ears pierced).
So, on her birthday after school we all went as a family to Claire's for the big event.
She was a little nervous and the boys were nervous for her.
I loved helping her pick out the perfect earrings. She was so cute as she sat there and got them done.
Afterwards, Josh let her pick out three new pairs of earrings.
It was such a special time and I'm glad we were all together as a family for it.

After we got home from Claire's we had a family dinner to celebrate.
I asked Allie what she wanted to eat for her birthday dinner and she said spaghetti and meatballs.
So, that's what we had.
Then, it was time to open presents!

 Her own sewing box!

 She loves horses!

Rob really wanted to get her these cute little earrings that look like our small dog Mac.
So sweet!

Her first jewelry box!

Time to sing Happy Birthday and eat some cake and ice cream

Daddy & Son Project

A few months ago I took the kids to the library to get some books. They love picking out books! One of the books Rob got was Things to do with Dad. It's such a great book on all these little projects they can do together. Rob and Josh talked about which one they'd really like to do and they picked out the project of making a homemade lantern!
They set to work on it and created the coolest little lantern out of an aluminum can. Rob even designed the can, too. It's so cool & I'm so impressed!
