Super Ski Day

Today we headed up the mountain and hit the slopes.
It turned out to be a beautiful day!

Josh and Marcus

Allie in ski school

That's Rob in the back, then Allie and
Marcus getting his board ready.

Josh and Allie

So cute seeing the boys ride up the chairlift together

Me and Allie getting ready to ski down...had to keep telling
her to slow down because she was just flying down the hill
(no fear with this one!)

Melissa and Noah were able to join us :)

Mighty Marcus...went down Great Western
black diamond runs with his Dad

Rob Dog...he was singing up the chair lift,
"I love powder! I love powder!" He took me on some side trails
on the bunny hill with fresh powder. What an adventurer.
It was awesome!
Then Josh told me Rob kept saying, "I'm a professional. I got it." When they got on the chair lift, Rob somehow knocked his ski off, and the operator had to stop the lift. Josh asked him, "Do you want me to carry the ski up the lift?" He answered, "No, he's a professional! We'll let the pro put his ski back on! I already stopped the whole lift for him."

Allie is Little Miss Confident...she kept saying to me
"I'm the best one [on the mountain]."
She definitely was very proud of herself and I was
able to take the opportunity to teach her a little bit
about humility on the ride up the chairlift!

We definitely had a special day!
We usually only go skiing when our family
comes from CA in February every year.
The kids can't wait to go again soon!
Only a few more weeks until our family comes!

Pics of the Kids

I feel horrible that I didn't get a family Christmas picture
and card together this year. At least I was able to get
some pictures of the kids in early December...

Great Times

We'll our dinner last night turned out a great success...even
when we thought we made a few mistakes along the way.
The MENU: salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette, green beans with toasted pecans, rice, pan seared chicken with a cream sauce,
and homemade chocolate mousse for dessert!

The cooking class paid off!

Allie felt like playing dress up after dinner...our little princess warrior

Tori and I went to the gym before she flew home today.

Big brother Josh with his littlest sister (20 year difference)...
the Alpha and the Omega in the Scribner family.
Out of 8 kids Josh is the oldest and Tori is the youngest.

We are sad to see Tori leave. We had a very special
time with her and already can't wait for her next visit :)

We love you, Aunt Tori!

I'm Back!

I'm back! Sorry for the little break. Last week I tried to catch up on my blog and I was having trouble uploading my pictures. Uhhh! I was so frustrated.
Hooray! It's fixed and can't wait to share what's been going on in our lives since Christmas.

Yesterday, Danny painted Allie's nails for her before night service
...what a sweet big brother! I'm so glad I captured that moment!
