Fall is my Favorite

Fall is my favorite time of year in Utah. It is absolutely beautiful with all the leaves changing and the weather isn't so bad either. I have always wanted to live in a place that experienced the four seasons. I got the desire of my heart when we moved to Utah.

However, I keep holding my breath every day wondering if winter has arrived.
It is getting colder...I've turned my heater on. Winter is coming!

Beautiful Art

Rob and Allie made me this beautiful piece of artwork one afternoon from flowers in our yard.
I love it and it's so creative.
I love it when my kids make me things.
It's so special.

Overnight In Park City

(front)

(back)

Last Thursday Josh and I were given a night away up in Park City! It was a gift from Zack. He gave us a night away at a hotel as our birthday gift and actually had this card printed up for us. It was our "golden ticket" to a night away. We were so touched by his thoughtfulness and generosity. He even planned to take time off work in order to watch the kids for us, too.

Josh and I had so much fun. It has been an extremely busy last few months, so this was a real blessing. We went to the outlets and out to dinner, slept in late and drove around Park City. We found a new favorite spot for coffee, too. There are windows everywhere and we just sat there with the most amazing view doing our Bible Study and reading. Then, it was time to head back down and take the boys to their football practices. On our way home, though, we stopped by to see Danny's little niece. She is so cute!

And, while we were away the kids had a lot of fun with Zack. He took them out for pizza and in the morning he and Tyler took them out for breakfast and then to a park to play. Today, Allie made a card for Zack thanking him for all that he did for them. It was so cute. She even taped it to his door so he would see it as he walked into his room.

It was a great time for everyone!

Allie Kay

This girl loves to pose for the camera!

...And she writes and draws me the most amazing letters!

The other day in the kitchen, Allie corrected Rob for something.
Rob said, "Mom's right here, she's the mom, and she can tell me."
Allie replied, "I AM the second mother!"
I said, "No, you are a mother-in-training!"
End of discussion.

I love this fiery, passionate, righteous, little girl! She lights up our days and our home!
We love our Allie Kay!

Concert Night

On Friday night we all went to a concert...just not the same one.

Josh took Marcus to see Lecrae and Trip Lee. We had given him tickets for his birthday back in August, so he was so excited for the concert on Friday night. It was worth the wait and a special father/son time for Josh and Marcus. When they arrived there an usher said they could go sit in the front row. And then, although they didn't buy the VIP tickets, a man just gave one to Marcus. Marcus was then taken backstage, went onstage, said hi to Trip Lee and high-fived Lecrae as he was performing! It was so fun.

...And I took Rob and Allie downtown to hear a symphony performance that our neighbor, my sweet friend, Emily, was playing in. It was absolutely beautiful and Emily did an amazing job!
